If you are a blue badge resident of a Controlled Parking Zone or Priority Parking area, you can apply for the right to purchase parking time for your visitors.
As part of the application process, we will complete an Experian check to verify your address. If this fails, you will be asked to upload documentation to confirm your address.
Once your application has been approved, you will be credited with your full, annual visitors parking allowance for your zone or area. Your annual allowance will be converted into thresholds. Each 30-minute session is equal to 1 threshold. When you pay for parking time, the system will calculate how many thresholds have been used and this will be deducted from your annual allowance.
When your visitor has parked correctly, enter their registration number and pay for the hours required. Remember an hour of parking time is equal to 2 thresholds. You don’t need to display anything in their vehicle. Our Parking Attendants will confirm that the vehicle has a valid visitors permit by checking the vehicle registration number.
